Future Black is our most ambitious project to date. Made up of 15+ casks, different oaks, different sizes, and different wine varietals. This whisky represents the best casks in our portfolio. It is our Master Blender’s spice-rack.
Awarded Best-Of-Class and Double Gold medals at the recent New York World Wine and Spirits Competition this inaugural Future Black single malt whisky aims to showcase what Spirit Thief will be like a decade from now. 2030 and beyond. Selected batches of whisky from smaller and larger parcels from the Directors’ own cask collections.

We believe whisky production is the art of heralding time. It is produced in the present day, but by its nature is always made for the future, whether it be 3, 5, 10, 20 or 50 years matured. The distiller creates the spirit, the master blender creates the whisky, and when it is consumed it is the recognition of the past borne present. Future Black is a progression, a statement of ambition and aspiration drawn form the finest barrels in our bond stores and presented at cask-strength.
